Elephant themes are all the rage for baby showers right now. In fact, I made this same design two weeks in a row!
This one is pretty straight forward: buttercream cake with fondant accents. To quickly make a bunting, I roll out fondant and cut out a star using a cookie cutter. With a sharp knife, I cut off each “leg” and those become my triangles. As I’m typing this, I made a mental note to look for a triangle shaped cutter. Simply pipe the bunting “rope” using buttercream, attach your triangles, and viola!
Pro tip: the triangles can be made in advance. A small dot of buttercream on the back with adhere them to the cake.
I still can’t figure out how to take the photo without the baby blocks casting a shadow on the cake. I’ll try again next time!
