Elephant baby showers have been the trend for a while now, so I was stoked to make an elephant in a different style.
For ombre rosettes, I start at the bottom with the darkest color in a piping bag fitted with Tip 1M. When the row is finished, I’ll empty all of the buttercream out of the bag and re-use it. Just add a bit more uncolored buttercream to lighten it up for the next row.
For the elephant topper, I molded the body around a milkshake straw, and attached the arms and legs with a dab of water. I actually used a heart-shaped cutter for the ears, but everything else was molded by hand.
